Privacy Policy

TwigDo is operated by SEQUEL AI ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: the free app is local-first — your tasks live in your browser and are never sent to us.

1. Data that stays on your device

When you use TwigDo without an account, all projects, tasks, notes, attachments, preferences and agent settings (including any AI API keys you add) are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. We cannot see, access or recover this data. Clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently — use the JSON export to keep backups.

2. Data we collect when you create an account

• Account data: your email address and optional profile details (name, avatar, company name/logo).
• Synced content: if you enable cloud sync (paid plans), your project trees are stored in our database (Supabase, hosted in the EU/US) so they can sync across your devices and collaborators you explicitly invite.
• Billing data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only your plan status and Stripe customer ID.
• Usage data: privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (no cross-site tracking, no advertising cookies).

3. AI features

The Twig assistant is "bring your own key": your prompts and tree context are sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configure (OpenAI, Anthropic, Moonshot AI, or a custom endpoint). We do not proxy, read or store those requests. Your provider's own privacy policy applies to them.

4. What we never do

• Sell or rent your data to anyone.
• Use your tasks or projects to train AI models.
• Read your project content except where required to operate a feature you invoked (e.g. delivering it to a collaborator you invited).

5. Your rights (UK/EU GDPR)

You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing hello@twigdo.com. Deleting your account removes synced projects and profile data from our systems within 30 days, except where we must retain billing records by law.

6. Cookies & storage

We use browser local storage for app state and, when accounts are enabled, an authentication session cookie. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we'll post the new version here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders.
